Gurukulam is a nonprofit organization with the purpose of education and training of students from all walks of life. Our forte in training and education include Karate, Yoga, Taichi, Kobudo, Ju-do and Meditation. Other courses we conduct include weight reduction program and instructor certifications.

Gurukulam has been affiliated by KARATE ASSOCIATION OFINIDA, WORLD KARATE FEDERATION and NIKKI-HA SHITO-RYU KARATE -DO INTERNATIONAL, AUSTRALIA.

Gurukulam, has a long history of providing students with training programs in martial arts. Originally founded as APKAF, organizing awareness programs in various important social issues, blood donation camps, personality enhancement program and student counseling were part of our activity along with martial arts programs.

Gurukulam has been the host of several national and international Karate and Yoga championship and tournaments over the years and produced several champions both within and outside India. Our experienced instructors offer a widely recognized platform for high quality training and education.

Our vision is to provide the highest quality of training which is comprehensive and effective to all age groups of students, particularly children who are our future. Our desire is to lead by example and to develop each of our students, instructors, black belts and staff members into the finest members of society who contribute to making our community a better place to live.

We have branches at Kodambakkam, Siruseri, Navalur, Padur, Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR), Perungdi OMR, Okkiyam Thoraipakkam, Gandhi Nagar, Adyar, Besant Nagar, Porur, Anna Nagar, Sholinganallur, Pudupakkam, Bollinini hills, Kattupakkam, and Kolapakkam.
